Summer Solstice
Day Retreat
WE ARE MADE OF LIGHT
Sunday 28th June
Flow Tunbridge Wells
Even after all this time the sun never says to the earth,
āYou owe meā.
Look what happens with a love like that - it lights the whole world.
Hafiz
Dear You,
How often do you consider what youāre made of & how utterly unique you are?
From the perspective of Self, which paradoxically has no perspective, youāre comprised from a magical mix of atoms, the stuff of stars & galaxies.
From the multiple perspectives of parts, weāre often reduced to dirt, the proverbial shit & spit from the gutter. The stuff of dreams & nightmares, which letās face it, is a bit of a shame.
Today, on this near Solstice day, we will be shining a light on our Self energy & embracing the wisdom & struggles of our multiple parts.
We will harness the grit & determination of parts - helping to motivate us forward, soften & listen to those parts struggling to survive the weight of judgment & expectation & offer kindness & understanding to those trying to stay safe in the shadows.
This is likely to be the last of my quarterly retreat days at Flow. I can think of nothing more affirming, joyful & delicious than spending it all together celebrating light.
Oh & for those whoād like to be sure, thereāll be a joyful smorgasbord of movement, breath, poetry, sound, silence, reflection & creativity peppered throughout the day, as well as a good brunch & lots of time for tea, chat & companionship.
Itās going to be joyful, insightful & moving, and I canāt wait.
Come with a friend or come alone, but do come, youāre so welcome.
With love
Lucy
When was the last time you dedicated a whole day to yourself, with yourself and only for your SELF?
No distractions, no jobs, just you and a deepening sense of who you are and how you wish to show up in the world.
Well, now is your chance!

WHAT IS IFS?
IFS, Internal Family Systems, is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple, and that is a good thing. Just like members of a family, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It canāt be damaged. It knows how to heal.
IFS is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.
But IFS is much more than a non-pathologizing evidence-based psychotherapy to be used in a clinical setting. It is also a way of understanding personal and intimate relationships and stepping into life with the 8 Cs: confidence, calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity, curiosity, and connectedness.
The mission of IFS Institute is to bring more Self-leadership to the world.
Good to know:
Lucy is an experienced IFS Therapist, trained to Level 2 via the IFS Institute. The explorative IFS group work included in this retreat will focus on finding and building our innate Self-energy.
Lucy is available for individual IFS therapy & counselling by appointment.

I wish I could show you, When you are lonely or in darkness. The Astonishing Light of your own Being!
I wish I could show you, When you are lonely or in darkness. The Astonishing Light of your own Being!
Take Away:
When we gather together in a reflective community, we begin to notice things that might otherwise have remained mysterious or invisible. We awaken our innermost curiosity and enliven our senses to allow more calibration between our internal and external existence. When we deepen into our inner landscape, we find ourselves exploring a deep well of stillness and as we dive into the stillness, we are exposed to the ever-expanding vastness of stillness that connects us to all things in a way that may not have been experienced ever before.
Try it, it just may be the best thing youāve ever done for yourself.
Good to know:
You need no experience in any practices to attend this day retreat. Only a willingness to be surprised and an acceptance that being can be far more productive and powerful than simply doing.
